My New School!

This week we went to back to school! This is my first time at a new school called Creekside Elementary :) I am in fourth grade now and my teacher is named Mrs. Schorder, she is very nice and fun. She gives us Schorder tickets when we do things like when we pay attention in class and when she tells us "hands and eyes" we put our hands together and we look at her. Schroder tickets are things we can put into a little mail box and she calls names from the tickets and you get to choose a prize from the treasure box. We also have jobs in our class. The first one is captain; then first mate (this is like a helper to the captain). The captain gets to run the rules in the morning, is always first in line, and when any people miss their jobs, the captain will take over to make sure everything is in place. There are also lots of other jobs like technology crew who get the walkie talkies and help the teacher with her microphone. There's also snack crew and calendar people.
So far at my new school I have enjoyed getting to meet new people in my class and also seeing my friend Grace from my neighborhood, Claudia, Carlie, Talia, and Sophia who are friends I have met along the way. I have almost learned everyone's name in my class!..... almost.
My new school is really big. We actually have to walk upstairs to go to our classrooms. There's a multipurpose room, where we eat lunch, it is also very big. We also have a new principal! Mr. T! He is so cool and gives us high-fives when we walk past him.
While I am sad and miss my friends at John Baldwin Elementary, I am looking forward to meeting new people and making new and great memories at Creekside:)

Thanksgiving Vaycay!!

This Thanksgiving break was so fun because I got to have a sleepover at my grandma's house and make food like rolls, turkey, jell-o, and stuffing.  The food on Thanksgiving was really good, but my favorite part was the sweet potatoes that my mom made.  They tasted like candy in my mouth! It was also really cool to see my family like my cousins in Brentwood, my uncle Benner, and some of my friends.  We even had a coloring contest in Brentwood with all of my family.  We had to color cartoon turkeys with crayons and then vote for people.  My turkey was one of the winners!! Hurray!  Thannksgiving break was cool, but I was a little sad on the rainy days because I couldn't go outside.  One day, at my friend Molly's house, we were trying to pick acorns in our fort we built, but then it started to rain so we had to go back inside.  But everything turned out exciting anyways because we got to come in and have hot chocolae, eat popcorn, and watch a movie. I hope all of you get to enjoy a rainy afternoon like this some day because it was really fun.  Anyways, I hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving Day and break, it was so fun to see everyone, but now I am ready to get back to school!  Thanks for reading my blog!

Friday, November 5, No School!!!!

Hi this is my blog today. Today I am going to talk about things I like to do.  I like to dance, especially to songs that I sing and to my Kidz Bop CD. I also like to play on my Wii.  My favorite games are Mario Kart, Super Mario Bros, and Just Dance. I am really good at Just Dance, my favorite song to dance to on this game is Cotton Eye Joe. Another one of my favorite things to do is go roller skating, especially at Golden Skate! I also really like the holidays, my favorite holiday of all is Christmas.  I think Christmas is great because you get new toys, I love decorating the tree, and I even like wrapping presents. My favorite thing to do when I am home is hang out in my room and dance around, sing, and read my books.  Also, as most of you know, my favorite food is Chinese, espeially sesame chicken, fried rice, chow mein, and pot stickers. I also love family taco night, because I love sour cream, meat, and the cheese. But the best part about taco night, is that the next night it becomes nacho night. My favorite kind of animals are dogs, cats, and panda bears. I love pandas.  But if I could own an animal it would be a pug. I would name him Mr. Beefy or Shep. I also love to hang out with friends. We ride scooters, bikes, and do hulahoops, we have a lot of fun.  Now that I've told you about all my favorite things, tell me some of yours!

Today was an interesting day. I went to school and I read so many Arthur books. We played tetherball in PE and we got to be with our buddies during PE.  We also had to write about our favorite books and we had to make a chart about what each of the characters in the book liked.  For example, Arthur and DW both liked dogs and babies.  I thought this assignment was awesome.  After school, I saw my grandma at her house, and then I went to Target, and then I came home.  I played outside with my friends.  We played with hula hoops and we rode on our scooters and skateboards. I got really tired, thirsty, and I was covered in dirt.  I had to chase my brother because he was bothering me.  Tonight I learned how to make my own blog. A blog is like a thing where you can type about things, write comments, and see if you like certain things or not. I am looking forward to writing my own blog and tonight was a great night. I am having Chinese food for dinner and that is always my favorite!! Have a great night!`
